Waive your flag Proudly as long as its the American Flag

Recently the fine people of Pahrump, Nevada banned the display of any flag other than old glory unless it is flown below the American Flag itself.

It seems they have decided that "Old Glory is Sovereign" (George Bush's favorite word)and it is unamerican to display any other flag by itself. Hopefully there won't be any Brazilians in Pahrump during the next World Cup, or Mexicans or Canadians present during an Olympics, as they would be fined and possibly forced into community service for showing patriotic zeal. As an avid fan of bicycle racing it is common place to see fans waiving the national flags of there favorite riders. What greater site was there than seeing all those American flags lining the Champs-Elysees during Lance Amrstrong's unprecedented 7 years as champion.

They didn't fine this man in France

Floyd wasn't fined for riding around Paris this past July either.

The American Flag code is very specific about the flying of foreign flags,

(c) No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America, except during church services conducted by naval chaplains at sea, when the church pennant may be flown above the flag during church services for the personnel of the Navy. No person shall display the flag of the United Nations or any other national or international flag equal, above, or in a position of superior prominence or honor to, or in place of, the flag of the United States at any place within the United States or any Territory or possession thereof: Provided, That nothing in this section shall make unlawful the continuance of the practice heretofore followed of displaying the flag of the United Nations in a position of superior prominence or honor, and other national flags in positions of equal prominence or honor, with that of the flag of the United States at the headquarters of the United Nations.

Assuming that persons in Pahrump flying foreign flags are not attempting to replace American flags in their rightful place this seems to be an overzealous reaction to a non existent problem. I wonder if the local diner serves Freedom Fries and Freedom toast as well?

Are we as a nation so unsure of our self identity, and is our patriotism so weak or myopic that a foreign flag being flown by an immigrant or sports fan is a danger to the security of the nation and requires legal action?

Kristallnacht

The evenings of November 9th and 10th 1938 were the antecedent to the final solution.

While we remember those who gave their all on Veterans day, lets not forget those we fought to protect and how government gone unchecked can lead to heinous crimes.

American Conservative Magazine says GOP Must Go

Read the article

It should surprise few readers that we think a vote that is seen—in America and the world at large—as a decisive “No” vote on the Bush presidency is the best outcome. We need not dwell on George W. Bush’s failed effort to jam a poorly disguised amnesty for illegal aliens through Congress or the assaults on the Constitution carried out under the pretext of fighting terrorism or his administration’s endorsement of torture. Faced on Sept. 11, 2001 with a great challenge, President Bush made little effort to understand who had attacked us and why—thus ignoring the prerequisite for crafting an effective response. He seemingly did not want to find out, and he had staffed his national-security team with people who either did not want to know or were committed to a prefabricated answer.

Gay bible thumpers

Another Evangelical opponent of gay marriage falls from grace and must admit to homosexual tendencies.

Me doth think these leaders protest too much.

What an election season:

Mark Foley and young Boys and now
Ted Haggard, one of the most vocal and visual proponents of Gay marriage must step down and admit to some allegations relating to gay sex.

What makes these people so self loathing?

Ted haggard, staunch republican, friend of George Bush, and a lunatic.

Will Al-Qaida affect the elections?

The MSM may not wish to come right out and say it, the republicans will hold there breath stomp there feet and deny it, but a Democratic victory would not please Al Qaida at all.

Al-Qaida claims to have intervened in recent US elections for the purpose of keeping the Republicans in power and the US in Iraq.

Vote Republican = Vote Al Qaida.
