2009 TDF Route Announced:

The tour will have it's penultimate stage on the Mont Ventoux (Le Geant. The last time the tour rode Le Geant some brash Texan was the favorite.

They have also brought back the team time trial.

The Tour will start in Monaco and end in Paris. Thanks to high speed rail the transfer from the south of France (Mont Ventoux) to Paris is manageable.

Velonews has a good review.
